"Mom, come here! You HAVE to see this!" Is what Joshy was yelling from outside in our front yard. So I went out, and this is what I see:
I've seen a few too many Black and Brown Widows lately -- IN OUR YARD -- and it is really starting to freak me out. My kids play outside ALL THE TIME. I think it's time to spray again!! ICK!

My kids would be so excited to see a black widow...but ahhhhhh!
Kate caught a few spiders in her bug catcher some months back and one spider managed to eat the other two, a fly, and some other insect we inserted into the webbed lair.
OH MY GOSH! The crazy thing is how BIG this guy is! You can see the "red hourglass" and EVERYTHING! It makes my skin crawl! That's so crazy!
OH and I thought your derby car was totally cute by the way! Glad you had a fun time!
Oh my goodess...that's scary, but cool. I've seen one black widow in our garage and just wanted to scream, but knew I needed to kill it...not fun. That's a great picture by the way : ).
We have those in our yard too. I hate them. That is one cool picture though.

hehehe! We walked out our front door and big huge spider (NOT a widow) was pulling a moth up the side of the house... I showed Evan and he SCREAMED like a little girl.
So gross. Last year I put my hand in the mailbox at night and something scared me. I got a flashlight and came back and it was a brown widow. It freaked me out.
