be thankful

I took this cute little message from a blog I follow (a bushel and a peck - see my sidebar for the link) and decided to share it with all of you.

How do you and your family show thanks?

We have a thankful tree. It goes up the first of November (on non-show years) and each night at dinner we record on a leaf something each of us is thankful for. By thanksgiving, the tree is really full.

I love this time of year! Not only for the many fun holidays and festivities but for the time to sit down and realize all the many things we should be thankful for. It's great to take a minute and reflect on all of it. We truly are blessed.
