Just What I Needed!

Need help organizing your time??   I do.  I found THIS ARTICLE  so helpful, and can't wait to put it into place!  The timing was perfect because I have the weekend to print it out and start scheduling next week.  So, if you have about 5-10 minutes to read it, believe me, it is worth it!

I would love to hear any ideas or methods that you use to organize/manage your time...  This is an area that I have always struggled with!!!

Hey Shari--In May, I'm teaching a mini lesson on Organization from The Inside Out. This is Julie Morgenstern's book. Her second book is Time Management from The Inside Out. Time Maps are a total Julie M thing. I swear by them. I can tell you about them sometime.

I try to make a list everyday of the things that need to get done. I also make time for me in the morning to go the gym, I feel much better after and ready to get things done. I have been working out since Ali was 1 year old, I would take the kids with me to the gym even if they did not want to go, because I knew I would be a better mom. I keep my house organized because when it is organized it takes me less time to clean and I have more time to do other things that are more important. I try to have a place for everything, it only takes me a few minutes to put everything where it belongs and I'm done. I know my limits so I don't volunteer to do more than I can handle, and that is OK. We don't have to say yes to everything. I have been helping in Brent's office about twice a week. I can do that now because my kids are all in school. I have also enjoyed going to the temple more often. I could not do those things when my kids were little. You still have little kids at home, so you don't have a lot of free time. You are doing a great job!!! What worked for me when the kids were little was exactly what I said in the beginning, to keep my house organized, that will free up a lot of your time, at least that is what happened to me.
